Our initial plan involved flying direct to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia and commence our journey West, however one of the worst Mongolian winters in recent history has blanketed much of the country in snow and dipped the steppe into -20 to -40deg Celsius temps. So we have planned to lengthen our 1 hour stopover in South Korea to one month.

The remainder of the trek is quite fluid and driven by the length of visas we can obtain for each Stan.
